Tri-generation or Combined Cooling, Heat and Power (CCHP) refers to simultaneous generation of electricity, useful heating and cooling from one source of energy. Around 80% of the energy in the primary fuel can be utilized by tri-generation. Potential sectors are hotels, industrial facilities including Industrial Zones and, etc.
Feasibility Study for Implementation of Tri-generation System for Hotel Sector in Sri Lanka was conducted by SLSEA in 2015 based on 2015/2014 energy data of selected Sri Lankan hotels. Main objective was to access the feasibility of Tri-generation Systems in the Hotel Sector of Sri Lanka. This report detail presents the findings, technical and financial feasibility and, etc for implementation of such Tri-generation Systems in Sri Lankan Hotel Sector.
Guideline for Sustainable Energy Residences in Sri Lanka was prepared as a supplementary measure under the provisions available to prescribe standards and regulations on building energy use in Sri Lanka.
